What is Down The Line (DTL)?
‘Down The Line’ is the most popular Trap discipline shot in the UK. A squad consists of 5 shooters. Targets are thrown away from the shooters from a single trap, with shooters standing 16 yards behind the firing house, where they fire at the rising targets
It’s a
great discipline for beginners as it gives you lots of targets to break and it teaches the art of concentration on the shooting circuit. A round usually consists of 25 targets. There are 5 firing positions and even though the targets rise they do so at a constant angle. However, the targets are fired randomly across the horizontal plane
Our Down The Line (DTL) facilities
We currently have 2 DTL setups, situated in the same location as the skeet ranges. We can set up a voice activation system if requested in advance
What is Compak Sporting?
Compak Sporting is a fun idea that allows all the usual targets from English Sporting to be combined into a competition that can be shot in a small area. Four firing points are available, so groups of up to 4 can participate and a round is made up of 25 shots. The traps can be differing types of target - for example Rabbits, Loopers or Springing Teal to name but a few!
Our Compak (5 Stand) facilities
We have a permanent Compak Sporting setup available throughout the year, comprising an array of challenging sporting targets for all levels of shooting ability. We regularly tweak and change the targets to ensure plenty of variation!
