The Bramley Family have been running Doveridge Clay Sports Club for the past 16 years, giving their own vast experience to many of the shooters who pass through their door. This wealth of knowledge enables them to give you the best clay pigeon shooting in the Midlands by harnessing amazing 70 acre shooting grounds and combining this with competition standard facilities.

Our Clay Shooting Experience

Sue Bramley competed in English Skeet for 10 years and was a member of The England Team for 7 years, winning The British and English Ladies Skeet Championships on several occasions before moving on to Olympic Skeet and competing worldwide. Sue won a Bronze Medal at the ISSF World Championship and also obtained a Bronze Medal at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

Clive Bramley competed as a Junior and Senior in English Skeet and NSSA Skeet winning many competitions including being the first Junior in NSSA to do 100 straight Skeet Doubles at The Junior World Championship in San Francisco 1992. He also achieved AAA Classification in all 4 gauges (.410, 28 gauge, 20 gauge, 12 gauge and also Doubles). He then moved on to Olympic Skeet winning many home competitions including the UK Championship, British Grand Prix and has been Great Britain number 1 on many occasions. Clive is still the only shooter in Great Britain to win Gold at an ISSF World Cup in the Individual event in Cairo and also another Gold in the Team Event held in Delhi. Two of his other main achievements was a Silver Medal at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne 2006 and also a Bronze Medal at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi 2010.

Sue’s husband, Steve Bramley, has been their coach over the years, and is now coaching Mikey Gilligan who in 2013 won a World Cup silver medal in Mexico and is now placed No1 in the GB Olympic Skeet rankings. Doveridge Clay Sports Club is one of a few Premier Plus Shooting Grounds in the country, it has successfully hosted some of the worlds most prestigious clay shooting events including English, British and World Championships.
